Cement Stabilization of Subsurface Soils Operations
Gulf Stream Construction has the internal equipment, personnel, and resources to self-perform cement stabilization operations for our projects. We maintain a modern fleet of cement stabilization and soil drying heavy equipment and have developed the technical expertise required to make this process work effectively.
The process of cement stabilization involves mixing in-situ, pulverized subsurface soils with Portland cement, adding water if necessary and then compacting this mixture to amend the soils undesirable properties. This material becomes a durable and hard structural material as the cement hydrates and develops strength. This process improves the physical properties of native in-situ soils and provides a more stable subgrade.
