Rob has 15+ years of experience as an environmental, health, and safety (EHS) professional in the oil & gas and construction industries. He currently serves as the EHS & Training Director at Gulf Stream, a position he has held since September 2016. In this role, Rob provides leadership and overall EHS direction, establishes program objectives, and focuses on achieving the highest levels of performance through systems-based initiatives, mentoring, and expeditiously implementing change.
As the EHS subject matter expert, Rob works closely with clientele, regulators, subcontractors, and within the company to author, innovate, and administer EHS policies and procedures. He manages health and safety resources and related departmental budgets, oversees EHS staff, and handles regulatory compliance to raise standards of performance (OSHA, EPA, and DOT). Rob also investigates incidents, utilizes robust data analytics to identify trends and mitigate risk, manages insurance claims, cost control strategies, and implements return-to-work programs.
Rob is experienced in designing, innovating, and administering environmental, health, and safety training programs, including OSHA 10 and 30-hour certifications and 40 Hour HAZWOPER certifications. He develops and administers business continuity contingencies and emergency management plans and serves as incident command during safety, health, environmental, and operational crises. His extensive experience includes pipeline construction and mid-streaming operations, EPA superfund remediations (brownfield projects), and various heavy civil construction projects for clients such as Boeing, Volvo, Google, and shipping ports.
